Cricket Betting: Formats, Markets and Bonus Rules
Why the format matters first
Cricket comes in three main formats and each one shapes the betting. A Test runs for up to five days and can finish as a draw if time runs out before either side wins. An ODI gives each team 50 overs, while T20 cuts that to 20 overs, so scoring is fast and a single over can swing the result. That is why the match winner market in Tests is often three-way (team A, draw, team B), whereas limited-overs matches are usually priced two-way.
Common cricket markets
The match winner is the simplest option. Innings runs asks whether a team's total goes over or under a line such as 165.5 in a T20. You will also see powerplay runs (the first six overs of a T20 innings), top batter and top bowler for each side, method of dismissal and total sixes in the match.
Top batter markets usually carry a dead heat rule: if two players tie on runs, the stake is split between them and you are paid at half the normal return. A Rp40,000 bet at 5.00 that would normally return Rp200,000 returns Rp100,000 in a two-way dead heat.
Rain, reduced overs and void bets
Weather is part of cricket in a way it is not in most sports. When rain reduces the overs in a limited-overs game, the result may be decided by the DLS (Duckworth–Lewis–Stern) method. Match winner bets generally follow the result declared by the competition, but runs markets are often voided if the number of overs is cut from the scheduled amount. The exact rules differ between operators, so read the sport-specific rules before betting in the rainy season.
How bonus terms treat cricket bets
A bet voided because of rain normally gets your stake back but does not count towards turnover, so the bonus target stays where it was — worth remembering when the bonus has a short expiry. Favourites in cricket are often priced low, and a minimum odds rule is a common feature of sports promotions. Special markets such as top batter may also be excluded from particular offers; the list of eligible markets is in the promo terms.
Example: a Rp200,000 bonus with a 5x turnover and minimum odds of 1.60 means Rp1,000,000 of qualifying bets. A Rp100,000 bet on a favourite at 1.25 does not count. A Rp100,000 innings runs bet at 1.85 counts in full, but if the match is shortened and that market is voided, its contribution drops back to zero.

Live betting ball by ball
Cricket has a natural pause after every delivery, so in-play odds are refreshed constantly. An early wicket can move an innings runs line sharply within one over. That rhythm makes it tempting to bet all the time; decide in advance how many live bets you will place in a match.
Bankroll and personal limits
