What it costs to keep a tier

Imagine a tier that requires Rp50,000,000 of monthly wagering and lifts your turnover rebate from 0.5% to 0.8%. On Rp50,000,000 that upgrade is worth an extra Rp150,000 a month. The same volume on games with a house edge around 3% costs roughly Rp1,500,000 on average. The upgrade returns a tenth of the upkeep. It only makes sense if you would have wagered that volume anyway — never as a reason to wager it.

Comp points
Comp points are the unit most programs use to track progress. Price them the same way as any rebate. If you earn 1 point per Rp20,000 wagered and 500 points convert into Rp5,000 of balance, you need Rp10,000,000 of wagering for Rp5,000 — a 0.05% return on volume. If the converted balance carries its own wagering, the effective return drops further. Points are a small thank-you, not a way to offset the house edge.
VIP cashback
VIP cashback — a higher refund rate on net losses at upper tiers — is usually the easiest perk to value. Apply the checklist from our cashback guide: the base, the cap per period and any wagering on the refund. A rate going from 5% to 8% sounds generous; on a Rp2,000,000 net loss it is Rp60,000 more. Weigh that against the extra volume needed to hold the tier.
Personal manager
A personal manager can make support smoother at the top of a program. Remember the incentive, though: account managers are typically measured on the activity of the players they look after. Treat any "special" offer delivered by private message as a promotion with terms, and ask for those terms in writing. Never share a password, one-time code or ID photo with someone claiming to be a VIP host outside the contact channels listed on the operator's own site — impersonation of account managers is a common scam.
